Here are some pictures of us when we first arrived in the East:

We are in Newark, New Jersey visiting some of Moroni's friends from the mission. It just happened to be Portugal Day. That means lots of unexpected celebrating. YEAH!! Loud music and good food, what else would my Brazilian husband want!


We are visiting Moroni's old roommate. They had a carnival the day we went there. Lots of random fun that we weren't expecting. It is very different out here than in Rexburg. Taking a lot of time for me to get used to it, but we are having fun trying.

While in California we went to a Mission

It was a cloudy day - but I am excited for the summer to start

We have finally finished our 3 week trip. We really miss everyone in Rexburg, but everyone here has been so kind and welcoming. Being in a home ward is a little different, but still nice. We really miss everyone and thank you all for the help you gave us in leaving Rexburg to make the venture to our new home.

Well, so far this is the first 1/3 of our trip. We made it to CA safe, but really tired and kinda sore from sitting in the car for 14 hours. We have had a lot of fun since we got here, but we do miss everyone in Rexburg. Yesterday we went on a bike ride to the beach. Lots of hills and dangerous cars nearly killing me; but once we got there it was a lot of fun. Next we got to go swimming. Sorry, no pictures of the ocean this time (we forgot our camera in our mess in the car), but I think we are going again tomorrow (ha ha :)

When Moroni's mom came from Brasil for his graduation we taught her how to make sugar molded eggs. I went for the more American look: Red, White, and Blue

Moroni decided to go for the more Brasilian look: Green, Yellow, and Blue

The great thing is we didn't do it on purpose!

Moroni's mom came up from Brasil for the graduation. It was really fun to get to know her more. Speaking Portuguese, a language I can barely understand, was hard; but it was fun to see how similar Moroni and her are.

Moroni has celebrated graduating - He isn't done yet, but don't tell him I told you.
Still one religion class left - oh, and an internship.
